Concept Statement
Mark Bloom is an award-winning creative director and business owner of MashCreative and CoType Foundry. They are known for releasing contemporary typography typefaces for both print and digital. I wanted to base my design on the front side primarily on the font that is most distinctive, Orbikular. I wanted to show his clean business style fonts on the back. I chose the main three colors he used to style Orbikular in his font book and on the back side, replaces green with black. In an interview with Lovers Magazine, Bloom talked about taking breaks to walk around the architectures he likes that are need his work space. He mentions he is a big fan of Brutalist architecture. It made sense to me that having a structure of designs built into one another made the most sense. It made it interesting to make the designs so one can turn the structure or walk around it.
